Rogue Capybara Captured by Old Jokes

Somewhere in South America
a giant capybara went berserk,
abandoning its quiet, guinea pig-like demeanor
to stage raids on unsuspecting villages.
A vegetarian, its attacks were on food supplies,
which left the pantries in shambles.

The most heinous offense occurred one evening
when the capybara assaulted
some broccoli and a carrot.
Although they survived the attack,
they will never be more than vegetables.

A trapper captured the insolent beast
by hiding behind a bush and acting like a nut.
It was transported
to a remote part of the country,
where it was released.
